Op/Ed Piece on NPE 2009 and the Importance of Marketing Appears in June 15th Issue
West Newbury, MA (June 15, 2009) . . . An editorial by Greg Hannoosh, President of Next Step Communications, appeared in today’s June 15th edition of Plastics News, the leading weekly newspaper serving the plastics industry with a circulation of over 60,000. It also appeared online and is posted at www.plasticsnews.com.
Titled ‘Now’s Not the Time to Skip NPE”, the “Perspective” column appears on page 6, the editorial page of the newspaper or at http://www.plasticsnews.com/headlines2.html?cat=5&id=1244836602. It addresses the particular importance of this year’s NPE 2009 show to the plastics industry and the importance of continuing to market your company, even in difficult economic times.
“I wanted to write a column to get people’s attention in the plastics industry,” said Hannoosh. “Yes, the economy is weak and yes, companies need to make tough decisions. But there are certain things you need to do marketing-wise to keep your business strong in tough times.”
At NPE, Hannoosh is presenting a seminar titled “Spreading the Word – The Basics of Promoting Your Company” at the Society of the Plastics Industry (SPI) ‘Business of Plastics’ educational track. In his Plastics News column, Hannoosh encourages plastics industry suppliers and processors to attend this talk to learn the basics of what they should be doing in a down economy.
